QuayStreet KiwiSaver Performance – March 2022

Written by

Using the most recent returns and fund update reports from March 2022, we will examine QuayStreet’s recent KiwiSaver Performance.

QuayStreet is one of the smaller KiwiSaver schemes in New Zealand. Across all of its funds, QuayStreet uses active investment management as they believe that actively managing investments with a concentrated selection can provide investors with superior returns.

Throughout April 2022, it was a volatile and difficult month for global equities, with the war in Ukraine, a mixed start to quarterly earnings season, and the prospect of more aggressive policy tightening by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) weighing on risk sentiment. The upheaval in equity markets was largely related to rapidly rising bond yields, reflecting increasing concern that central banks will need to be more aggressive in order to prevent inflation expectations from becoming embedded.
