Written by

Using the most recent returns and fund update reports from the Quarter Ended June 2022, we will examine Generate’s recent KiwiSaver Performance.

Generate KiwiSaver Scheme, established in 2012, offers three different KiwiSaver Funds, ranging from a lower-risk moderate fund to a higher-risk focused growth fund. Generate uses an active investment management strategy across its funds, as they believe actively choosing which investments are included in the fund will provide greater returns for investors. Generate also implements a responsible investment approach, which includes negative screening and ESG integration. According to the latest annual report, the Generate KiwiSaver Scheme currently has 113,665 members and manages NZ$3.2 billion in KiwiSaver assets as of 31 March 2022.

A recent survey by investment research firm Morningstar indicates that the overall value of KiwiSaver assets fell to NZ$82.8b in the three months ended June, down from NZ$87.7b in the previous quarter.
