ANZ KiwiSaver Performance – September 2021 (Practice)

Written by

stack of money with globe and plants

Using the most recent returns and fund update reports from September 2021, we will examine ANZ’s recent KiwiSaver Performance.

ANZ was established in New Zealand in 1840, making it New Zealand’s oldest bank. ANZ serves more than 5 million customers, managing six funds under its OneAnswer KiwiSaver scheme with a total Assets Under Management of more than $10 billion and 592,230 members in the funds.

Despite the negative returns on many funds in September and October due to a slowing global economy, worsening supply chain, and the potential Evergrande bankruptcy in China dented investor sentiment. There is a more positive outlook from November and December, with returns being more positive with the ending of lockdown and the markets readjusting after Covid.
