Pathfinder KiwiSaver Performance – September 2021

Written by

Using the most recent returns from September 2021, we will examine Pathfinder’s recent KiwiSaver Performance.

Pathfinder is an investment company that follows the UN sustainable development goals. The goals include ethical investing, raising climate change awareness, and avoiding investing in companies with unethical companies. Pathfinder also excludes investments in companies that they view as doing substantial and irreparable harm to society or the environment. In addition, 20% of the management fee paid to Pathfinder goes to one of their charity partners that KiwiSaver investors can choose.

Throughout September, the market and the 1-month returns from Pathfinders KiwiSaver funds had below-average returns. These lower returns could be due to Auckland still being in lockdown, the market calming down after last year’s significant returns or other external factors. However, investors in KiwiSaver shouldn’t worry as the market tends to fluctuate, and the rest of the year may bring better returns.
